Here are some pictures from the British Museum. It was amazing! The 3rd pic is the Rosetta Stone! Also, here are some of the Greek reliefs and statues stolen from the Parthenon and the Acropolis. If you ask me, they should be sent back to Greece…but that’s another blog….hah I really loved the Egyptian and Sumerian artifacts. It was really breathtaking to see this stuff in person after reading about it and only seeing it in books for years!
Yeah! Tell them to send them back to Greece. And if you get to the Louvre, tell them the Greeks want the rest of the Caryatids from the Parthenon as well!! Haha : )
Breathtaking – that is how I felt walking into the museums in Italy and seeing Raphael’s, Titian’s, and Michaelangelo’s, and Bellini’s! Hello – The Birth of Venus! Amazing!
